Our first visit to Estia was with our in-laws. Every dish we ordered was at least good to very good. Pork chop, stuffed peppers, gyro plate, greek salad and beet salad. Large portions for everything. The humus and pita they put out when we sat down was excellent. Reasonably priced. Only minor issue is that it was loud. Music and belly dancer were at high volume. Next time I go, will ask for table outside.

It's a great Greek place that fills up on weekends and weeknights. Food is good, simple Greek...can't go wrong here. I can live without the bellydancing, but, hey, people seemto enjoy it.

Got there early and snagged one of the two or three parking spaces. The octopus was first rate as were the meatballs which were served in a deep red sauce. My wife had the chicken soup and huge serving of stuffed peppers. Both were excellent. Pita and hummus were terrific. Parking in Royal Palm is impossible so better to go early or late.

Went here while on vacation for our anniversary and couldn't have had a better night! The atmosphere was so open and comfortable. The service was top notch (Dimitrios treated us like friends, not customers). And the food was absolutely delicious! We sat down and was brought hummus and the best pita I've ever had. To start we ordered the tzatziki to have with the pita. Then for dinner I had the lamb souvlaki - lamb kabobs on a skewer with green peppers and onions, served over rice with green beans. My girlfriend had shrimp over rice with green beans. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our server, Dimitrios, brought us complementary chocolate baklava when we told him it was our anniversary. It was so light and delicious! We ended our night with cappuccino and enjoyed the entertainment. There was live Greek music and a surprise belly dancer. Overall, it was a great experience. Wonderful people that sincerely cared about your dining experience. And the food tasted fresh, came out quick and hot, and was cooked deliciously. I cannot say enough good things about Estia, and will try to make it back before we return home to New England!

Stopped by for a couple of appetizer and drinks while we watch the amazing belly dance show. The grilled calamari were perfectly cooked and I finally had the traditional cheese saganaki lit on fire with ouzo , enjoyed everything ...

Came here on a groupon had the Greek salad was meh.. My friend had the gyro platter also not so meh.. I will say that service was exceptional and the atmosphere is very pretty.

I was in the mood for a gyro and it was delicious! The tzatziki sauce was nice and garlicky, the pita bread was hot, and the Greek salad was tasty. The meal hit the spot not even a crumb left on the plate when came to get it.(actually 2 olive pits) the staff was nice. Take the extra minute to find this restaurant and you will be glad you did.

I went to this place on a Saturday night. Walking in it seemed very authentic with a good vibe. There was a live performer playing the guitar and singing Greek music which was fun. The hostess and servers were all very nice and accommodating. This definitely seems like a great place to go with your family to order a bunch of things and share food. It's definitely really fun to do that, especially because everything on their menu looks and sounds really delicious that you just want a little bit of everything on the menu. We ordered a bottle of Sauvingon Blanc which was really good. The pita and hummus they brought out was very delicious. I loved the hummus, it tasted homemade and very fresh. We decided to order a bunch of things to share to eat. We ordered the grilled octopus, grilled calamari, grilled vegetables, and the greek village salad which is to die for. There is nothings better than feta, onion, tomatoes, and cucumbers!!!! We were very happy with the grilled calamari, and grilled octopus. The grilled octopus might have been our favorite thing. It was all grilled to perfection. The grilled veggies were also very good and tasty. I would definitely come back to this place with a bunch of people. It's a lot of fun, it has a great Grecian ambiance which is fun and different, the food is delicious, the service is excellent, the music is fun and it is an overall really great time. Definitely come to this place if your in the mood for Greek food, order a bunch of items and share it all. You will be glad that you did!

Spicy chicken breast isn't spicy, you have to add a lot of black pepper. Slow service. Didn't bring my dish out until the other people at my table finished. They explained in detail how this error happened (they blamed the computer) but didn't comp the dish. Took forever bringing the bill and wrote in a generous 18% tip for themselves, lol. One star except the curly mullet haired 8-string guitar guy was awesome.

They have better Greek food then in Greece. In fact everyone in the restaurant is Greek giving a very authentic feel. The food is very good, and the portions are HUGE!! I really recommend their lamb. I liked everything about the place so much I even posted a family event there. The owner is very nice and prepared a set menu for 35 guests. We had the restaurant to ourselves on a Sunday afternoon. Everything went without a hitch, it was spectacular and even through and dessert and coffee for free!!

Early bird 14.95$ 3course dinner! so CHEAP! daily 4-5:30pm and main courses are full sized from regular menu, sth to choose from 6or7 different options. I had chicken soup, and stuffed peppers for main entree- amazing! also tried from my family roasted chicken, crispy and really good, eggplant and beef dish (can't remember the name) also super tasty, but a bit heavier i think. Beef patties were nice too! Baklava was too sweet (i never liked it anyways), but rice pudding was a perfection! even if not on early bird special, I will b back!

Estia is an EXCELENT greek restaurant! Best greek food we have ever had! Lamb chop entree came with 5 juicy chops with lemon roasted potatoes and greenbeans in a tomatoe sauce. To DIE FOR. Not only was the meat so tender but the homemade sauce drizzeled on the top made it so delicious. My wife ordered a bronzino fish that was filleted at the table by the young Niko the Greek ! We couldnt find one bone in it. She couldnt stop talking about how tasty it was. We most defenitly will ne back. Thank you Estia for such a good time :)

How can a European themed restaurant be out Sparkling water at 5PM on a Saturday? Wife ordered stuffed peppers and they were out of that also, C'mon guys you had all day to walk across the street to Trader Joes to pick up some water and peppers show a little initiative and get off your butts and get the basics. Couple at the next table had to order drinks 4 times to get find something you had in stock. Had champagne on the menu but no bubbly. The waitress Brittany was excellent --- cheerful and attentive. My pita and humus pre-entre was free and tasty. We ordered the fried meatball appetizer excellent. The chicken kabob was very nice. Unfortunately the gyro pita meat was the type cooked in the pan rather than the good stuff cooked on a revolving spit. The accompanying French fries were excellent but they had no malt vinegar so had to use ketchup. In summary the service was 5 stars, food 4 but management neglect and laziness brings overall rating to 3. Reasonably priced menu. It is a shame because if they had their act together the rating could have been higher. Right now is peak season in FL so be prepared and don't embarrass your staff be being out of menu items at 5PM.

First time here. Visiting family in Boca. This was one of the best Greek meals I've had. The portions are huge, and you won't find better tasting food anywhere. Service was incredible. The owner and staff are super friendly. Try the chicken a'la estia!

After about an 18 month absence from Estia I returned with a friend who raved about the food. The restaurant was closed for awhile last year and reopened, allegedly under management/ownership of the former chef. SERVICE: This was a slow Wednesday night at 7. Two tables including ours were occupied inside, and 4 occupied on outdoor patio. There were 3 waiters and as many busboys. The waiters ran, not walked, between kitchen, bar, inside and outside. There was a frenzied feeling to their actions unjustified by the number of guests. It was distracting and annoying. And our waiter did something which turned all of us off - took the knife and fork from our salad plates and placed them on the table! Of course, we noted our disapproval and he said " ok, oh, I'll bring new ones". This may not be a big deal for many diners, but it was representative of a certain lack of sophistication and style to the service. AMBIENCE: the decor is early 80s, lighting ok, scenes of Greek towns on the walls, clean, sort of blah. Bar seats about a dozen. PARKING: provided by free valet, otherwise the lot is a challenge, especially on weekends. FOOD: started with free warm freshly made pita bread and delicious hummus. -large salad with lots of chopped tomatoes was sufficient for three to share. It was good. - the grilled salmon and scallops was a large cut of well prepared salmon. The scallops were a bit tough, cooked too much, perhaps? - stuffed chicken breast was huge and very good. - all entrees were accompanied by rice (way too much), sautéed mushy green beans, and one slice of roasted potatoes. No other veggies were available, and my request to skip the rice and add more green beans did not get executed. And the one slice of roasted potato was hysterical. OVERALL: Underwhelming. while the food was good, the inability to get more veggies was disappointing, and while salad was so-so, it was supposed to include lettuce and there was little there. The service was disappointing and made us wonder what busy weekends were like. It just lacked vibe. We had hoped the new owner chef would have management skills or hire an experienced front of house manager. If the negatives I have highlighted don't concern you, you'll appreciate Estia.

I'm just going to say that this place has a pleasant atmosphere and the food overall is good but it's just not anything special hence the 3 stars. The staff was nice but they were unprepared to make a drink with orange juice and had to go to the store to get some. Really? Really? Aside from that I would say the hummus and sides were seriously laden with garlic so just beware. Again, just an average place that was half filled on a Friday night for good reason; that being you go once and note that with so many better competing restaurants in the area why would you come back.

My first time here - had a taste for a gyro. This is actually a FINE Greek restaurant, but they had that on the menu so I figured why not? I went at a very off hour (around 1:45pm on a Sunday afternoon) and the restaurant was quite empty. I'm wondering why more people don't know about this place, because it is EXCELLENT! They have both indoor and outdoor (covered) seating, and are located in the back of Royal Palm Plaza in East Boca Raton. I ordered the Gyro platter. It was exceptional and could, with an appetizer, be easily shared with another person. It came with a very fresh salad consisting of romaine lettuce, ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced green pepper and red onion, some black olives and of course topped with feta cheese. The gyro meat came drizzled with something flavorful and was thinly sliced and piled on top of fresh, hot pita triangles and was absolutely delicious and very generously portioned. A good amount of perfect, seasoned steak fries rounded out the plate - oh, and a ramekin of tziki sauce. I overheard another table raving about their food and when their lamb chops went by, I nearly swooned - beautiful, large chops in a lovely presentation! I will be back to this restaurant to try some of their other offerings soon. Their menu is extensive and has many wonderful sounding things to try, both appetizer and main course. Highly Recommend!

First time here. Nice ambiance. As for the food......we opted for apps so we could get a little taste of everything. I was not overwhelmingly impressed with any one item. Having said that, some items were good like the fried smelts, homemade dolmades augolemono and fried zucchini. The service was good but it wasn't that busy. Overall, it was just ok.

We went here with a party of 4 one night, and were pleasantly surprised by the service, and quality of the food. The restaurant itself is tucked in a small shopping center near Mizner Park, in Boca Raton. The inside of the restaurant is very cozy and traditional, and reminded my husband and I of the restaurants we ate at in Santorini and Rhodes. We started off with the pita bread with hummus, spanakopita (spinach pie), salad, dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), and flaming cheese (Saganaki). My husband ordered the stuffed peppers, and I had the chicken with potatoes. We finished off our meal with chocolate baklava and bougatsa (Greek pastry) for dessert. Everything was phenomenal and we will definitely be returning soon.

Slow service, place has no parking, wait staff is enthusiastic but amateurish. Food is good. Live show was loud and overwhelming - just trying to hang out and chat. I was distracted by the operations as opposed to a place in flow where there is no distracting sense of effort. Greek place in Delray SE corner of ATL&MIL is more easy/quiet. I hopefully won't go back.

Hummus and pita was amazing as well and the chicken souvlaki(chicken skewers). Will deff be back soon best Greek/Mediterranean food I've had yet!

This place was a short walk from the Boca Raton Resort where I was staying. There is an open patio and tables inside. A TV hangs on a wall playing a video of picturesque Greek landscape. Kinda cool. Service was fine. I ordered a combination seafood pasta dish. After my order was in for about 10 minutes the waiter came back to tell me that they were out of scallops and would instead substitue calamari. Ok... oh well. There are only two exceptions in my book to run out of ingredients for you on menu dishes... 1) Smoked BBQ... it doesn't keep so sell it till your out 2) fresh seafood... so I gave them a pass. The dish was huge. Lots of mussels and shrimp with the calamari. The pasta itself was ok, and the sauce lacked body... it needed something. But I left full and satisfied. They offered a $1 yelp discount which seemed nominal but I still appreciated it. The staff seems to be family. Some of the waiters are in black on black garb. A few other younger people lend a hand from time to time and are not in uniform. It was a weird yet cool vibe.

Ok, I have a place in Boca and am here once a month I have eaten in every high end restaurant around and many are very good. But if you want a great meal in a friendly cozy place with people who really appreciate your business this is it. We have eaten here many times and each time it gets better the food is wonderful the service is extremely friendly. You might find fancier places in Boca but you wont find anything better. The whole fish Branzino or Snapper are both wonderful, the lamb chop can't be beaten, the grilled calamari OMG,we have tried many different things on the menu and all are wonderful. I you want to have a great meal with great people, you will not be disappointed and on weekends the belly dancer and music are a lot of fun !

I took my mom here for an early mother's day dinner since she loves greek food and we loved it. Our server Maria was new but she was great, very attentive, helpful and efficient. First they brought out complementary homemade hummus and warm pita bread which is even better when you add the greek olive oil that's on every table. We ordered the saganaki which they flame right at the table (very cool) and delicious! For our entrees my mom had the salmon which she said was delicious and I had the chicken souvlaki which I thought was very good. We were both too full for dessert so we passed on that, but maybe next time. Entree portions are also very large, we have enough for dinner tomorrow!

We had reservations about our reservation.....how come a table was available at the last minute on New Years Eve if this was a decent place? Well my fears were unfounded. Having dined at many Greek restaurants over the years, I find this to be near the top of my list of Greek food. The only thing preventing a 5th star was that our server, while amiable, seemed a little green in the ways of service in a finer establishment, though that is a minor quibble....there were no major service errors...besides, 5 stars should be for only the best of the best.. For starters our party of 5 ordered Saganaki which should be flambeed at tableside but the server somehow couldnt ignite the flame and had to step away for a moment and come back with either another plate or new ouzo/brandy to ignite. Once we dug in though(after waiting 2 minutes for pita bread to dip) , it was its usual creamy saltiness and it only lasted about 60 seconds before it was gone. Our server had previously offered hummus and pita, which I thought MAY have been complimentary the way he said it, but found out afterwards its about $2.95 for each order of pita bread, (but somehow the hummus was left off the bill..go figure?) Hummus was very good though. Anyway, 2 of us ordered the lamb chops and they were excellent...cooked to specified doneness (Med rare & Medium), well seasoned, etc....they pleased my 87 year old mother, which in and of itself is a major feat....accompanying potatoes were typical Greek Style, not my fave way to have potatoes, but they were still tasty. Another person had the chicken souvlaki, which I tasted and was very nice. Another ordered the Grilled Shrimp and they were very pleased and the 5th person ordered the roasted 1/2 chicken which I also did not sample but all in our party were very happy with the food. THe traditional baklava for dessert was decent, whereas the chocolate version detracted from the flavor IMO. The atmosphere is pretty typical for a Greek place, though fortunately a little more understated than most. Overall, very solid Greek in Boca and not too pricey, though you can find cheaper elsewhere if you want. Complimentary valet parking is a nice touch and if you're not familiar with the plaza they are in, it's a very nice area to stroll around window shopping (when stores are open)

Tonight my girlfriend and I came into Estia for are first time and let me tell you THE FOOD WAS AMAZING !!! I ordered the lamb chops medium and it was the best chops I have ever had. My girlfriend had a feta cheese and spinach stuffed salmon. It was out of this world. I never had a plate like this. It was delish! I was very pleased dining here. The service was also very attentive and polite to us. Most definitely we will be back ! Thank you Estia :)

It has very good lamb souvlaki, would recommend. Nice ambiance with authentic Greek background music. Service was spectacular though the restaurant was rather empty at 5 pm. Would recommend highly. Prices are reasonable.

Love this place! It was a very busy night due to it being Valentine's Day but we were seated at a nice outdoor table, had some Greek wine, and enjoyed the atmosphere. There were four of us and we shared some appetizers before our main courses. The warm pita is delicious as is the spanikopita. I got the moussaka for my entree which was wonderful and served with green beans. Everyone loved their meal and the topper was the chocolate baklava. We really liked the fact that this is a family establishment...they are so friendly and happy to welcome you. We met the chef as we were there until fairly late and his son, Dimitri, was our waiter. This place has such a great vibe about it so go, sit back and relax, and enjoy some great Greek food.

Food: 4.5 Service: 2.5 Delicious meal. Complimentary feta appetizer with pita...very nice and different than the usual hummus at other Greek places (not that I don't like that too - just a nice, refreshing change). Grilled octopus was perfect. Main entrees (lamb shank and one of the shrimp dishes) were both delicious as well, albeit too much rice/orzo. In other words, it would have been nice to have an additional side veggie. Great flavors though. Service was very weird and lacking. Upon arrival, we are greeted by a gentleman who notes our reservation (OpenTable), and as he is picking up the menus to take us to our table outside, another waitress comes over and says "It's my table". I couldn't believe what ensued: the two literally fought in front of us over who gets the table with "Well you had the last one", "No, you did", etc. going back and forth! How unprofessional. If you're going to argue about who's table it is, sort it out in the back...NEVER in front of the customer. Then, once seated the waitress kept replying to our questions about menu items with "I'm new, so I don't know". Wow. Main dishes arrive. As we are sharing, I kindly asked for two extra plates. He looks down at our appetizer plates with crumbs on it from the pita, goes "Ummmm" - as if implying we should just use those for our entrees - and then quickly semi-redeems himself with an "OH! You want new plates?" Uhhh yeah, buddy...that's pretty much what I asked for in the first place (not what I said of course). To which his reply was a back turn to our table, walk two feet away, and yell into the restaurant "WHO'S TABLE IS THIS? THEY WANT TWO PLATES." Are you kidding me?! At one point during the meal yet another waiter yells across the restaurant to another one asking if he had change of a 20. Overall, nice restaurant with delicious food and just unusual service. A little on the pricey side for Greek, but it is a nicer restaurant than the average one. Estia has a few good deals out there, including Restaurant.com .

Some really authentic and great greek food dishes. Entrees are delicious and have phenomenal sides. It's fun getting a bunch of appetizers and sharing them kind of like tapas. The bread is great, with hummus and tatzkiki, you can tell it's fresh. A little on the pricy side but tolerable. The greek alcoholic drink I forgot what it's called, but it's traditional, ask your waiter (mixed with lemonade) highly recommended!

ESTIA Taverna And Bar in Boca Raton at Mizner Park is a delight! Nick, the owner/chef took such excellent care of us, with that famous Greek hospitality, we felt like family. The meal begins with grilled pita and homemade hummus. We had the grilled octopus, it was so tender and fresh. Enjoyed a delicious Greek Village Salad with tomatoes and cucumbers with feta cheese in olive oil. Avgolemono Chicken Lemon soup served piping hot, so satisfying and smooth. We ordered a succulent lamb souvlaki which was served with grilled peppers on skewers hot off the barbecue grill. The lamb chops were tender and tasty, we licked our lips. We enjoyed the full bodied red Nemea Corinthian wine. We were treated so well, by all the Nicks. We were given after dinner brandy and a dessert called Bougatsa, a warm custard with cinnamon, so delicious. A truly excellent meal with impeccable service. They have belly dancing and live music on Friday and Saturday. We are definitely going back! OPA!

Nice location but the service was awful. Something as simple as getting water took multiple requests. The food was average Greek but was delivered to us cold after nearly an hour wait. All this was very surprising given all the excellent reviews. I'd pass on this place.

First time at this restaurant and the experience was exceptional. We had dinner early Saturday night (6PM) so it was not crowded as I understood the place fills up after 7PM. We ordered the grilled octopus which exceptional. The humnas and bread the waiter brought when we sat down was also excellent. The grilled chicken was perfection and the portions large. Will be going back there most definitely.

Loved this place! We happened upon this restaurant from purchasing a Living Social coupon ($40 for the price of $20) and now we can't wait to go back again! We were a party of 3 on a Thursday night at about 8:00. The restaurant was not too busy (only about 4 other tables seated). Our server was Avi, and he was awesome! Polite, professional, friendly and knowledgable... And quite handsome! And our food was also awesome! The hummus and warm pita bread was delicious! We started with a nice bottle of Greek red wine. We shared the Saginaki and it was the best I've ever had. Then we shared the large Greek village, and the tomatoes, cucumber, onion, peppers, feta, olives and dressing were fresh and delicious! And last we shared the lamb chops, which came with fantastic green beans and potatoes. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly to our liking. We did not have room for dessert, but next time I will try to save room for dessert. Before trying Estia Greek Taverna, the only Greek restaurant I would go to is Greek Islands in Ft. Lauderdale, but now my new favorite Greek restaurant is Estia! Can't wait to return!

Nice Greek restaurant in the Mizner Park area. The ambiance and decor is authentically Greek and on a weekend night there is also a Belly Dancer. But the star is definitely the food. Was greeted with a warm Pita Bread and excellent Hummus as soon as we sat on our table. I ordered the Lamb Shank while my date ordered the Chicken Kabob Platter. The Lamb Shank with the Orzo had to be one of the best I have ever had, lamb coming out of the bone while the Orzo was cooked to perfection. The Chicken Kabob was a decent plate with chunks of Grilled Chicken accompanied with Rice and vegetables. It was whole some but we wished it had more flavor to it. We had the Baklava for desert and that was super yummy too!!! The service was warm, hospitable and not over bearing. The server recommended the Greek wine which surprisingly was very good. We first bought 2 glasses but ended up buying the bottle. The hostess welcomed us at the door with a big smile and immediately sat us. She also came in between the meal to find out everything was fine with our table (great gesture!) Overall the place is full of positives and if one is craving for good Greek food , I would definitely recommend Estia.

We just got home from an absolutely great meal. I have had really good Greek food for decades, and this was among the best I've ever had. They deserve more than 6 reviews. The setting is beautiful, and we sat outside. The service from Ari was excellent, both congenial and professional. Many of the other patrons seemed like locals. The food though, was the star. We started with a complementary plate of home made chunky style hummus and pita bread with zaatar. We followed it with saganaki, cold eggplant salad and village salad. Each was a cut above the norm. Likewise with the entrees. The deserts too were terrific. We shared 2, a shredded baklava and a custard in phyllo. Wow. Bottom line, we'll come back and recommend it to others.

The food was great, but hands down the best part of this meal was our server, Constantine. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and very kind- an all-around stellar server. He allowed us to sample a wine (don't order the Retsina!) and gave us a lesson in Greek wine. When we raved about the Avgolemono (chicken lemon egg soup), he told us how to make it! No charge for the recipe, he says, lol. The service alone is worth the visit, but they serve yummy food too! The hummus was very fresh, and even my mother, who doesn't normally like hummus, ate this up. The Greek salad was delicious, and the saganaki was flambeed tableside and tasted great to boot. For an entree, I'd definitely recommend the lamb shanks. To die for! And we ordered baklava and the galaktoboureko. The baklava came out on top, but the other one was tasty as well. The restaurant was fairly empty at 8 on a Tuesday night, which was fine by us. They had a space near the back where it looks like they might have live music at some point, but our dining experience was quiet. Our first visit was prompted by a Groupon, but it certainly won't be our last!

I just had an outstanding lunch at Estia w my staff. The server was very attentive, not overly intrusive tho. We started out w a horiatiki salad. Nice ripe tomatoes and clearly someone knows how to select the feta for this place. The Greek sausage and the souvlaki both pork and chicken was very nice (we swapped a lot) as was the roast chicken with Greek style potatoes. Do NOT miss the saganaki, it was the best I've had. We will definitely be back. Opa!

I brought a group of 27 to Estia this past Tuesday evening to have an authentic Greek experience. We arranged a sampling of several mezes (appetizers) and a couple main dishes and dessert. We began with their wonderful hummus served with warm pieces of pita bread. Next we had a Greek Salad that was chock-full of perfectly ripened tomatoes and nice chunks of feta, red onion and green peppers tossed in a nice dressing. Their homemade fried zucchini chips and dipping sauce came out next and were very addicting. "Opa!" was shouted as the waiters brought out the saganaki and flamed it table side for our entertainment. This was a crowd pleaser for sure. Next we had Bifteki, or Greek Meatballs which were small and tasty in a tomato based sauce. Our main dishes were Lamb Shank served with orzo and Moussaka, layers of eggplant, potatoes, ground beef & bechamel sauce. By this point I was stuffed, but since I was the one who had organized the group, I had already tasted these dishes weeks before and knew they were great. This time, I took them home and enjoyed them the next day for lunch. We finished with some baklava which is a perfect balance in my opinion of sweet and savory. Ordinarily they do not have live belly dancers on a week night, but they surprised us by bringing one in and handed out several tambourines to our guests to join in on the fun. This really added to our overall enjoyment. I would suggest if you are booking a group that you request this entertainment in advance for your group as well. Otherwise, you will find live music and entertainment there on the weekends.
